Sector

Motorcycle & cycle dealer finance inventory and floorplan finance for the UK network.

Brands need UK retail presence. Dealers need stock on the floor. We fund both ends of the chain, for cycle, e-bike, and motorcycle distributors and dealers.

Market reality

The sector, as it actually trades.

Emerging cycle brands and mid-market motorcycle distributors face the same structural problem: they need UK retail presence but cannot absorb the credit risk of direct dealer terms. With premium e-bikes now matching motorcycle price points, the two sectors are functionally indistinguishable from a financing perspective. Both carry seasonal stock builds, serialised inventory, and post-Brexit import complexity. Both depend on a dealer network that is itself capital-constrained.

How we help

What our facilities actually do for you.

We provide revolving dealer inventory finance for cycle and motorcycle brands entering or scaling in the UK market. Our facilities cover stock-on terms, credit risk management on the dealer book, and customs clearance support where it is needed. The model has been proven in practice - including direct involvement in delivering the cycle industry's first retailer stocking finance programme in partnership with a major European brand, and through specialist finance relationships across the UK motorcycle distribution network.

Why it works

The structure behind the deal.

This is a relationship-led opportunity. We bring direct connections at brand and distributor level across Europe, and at retail and dealership level across the UK. A floorplan-style workflow serves both markets equally well. The same operating template scales from a niche cycle brand entering the UK to an established motorcycle distributor refinancing a national dealer book.

How it works

Each unit funds independently. When a bike retails, the dealer settles that VIN with us, and the line refreshes for the next drawdown. Pay-as-Sold accrues interest daily on each unit, so faster sellers pay less and slower sellers pay more. Working capital follows units off the floor.

Outcome

The dealer holds a representative range across price points without tying up working capital. Floor turn rises, the facility recycles continuously through normal trading, and total finance cost tracks actual sell-through rather than an arbitrary monthly schedule.
